A member asked:

Can malabsorption from small bowel crohn's decrease sensitivity of ibd blood panel? wouldn't low serum globulin = fewer antibodies for test 2 detect?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not necessarily: These elevated antibodies levels are usually several folds higher in Crohn's disease compared to individuals without it. Malabsorption should not causes these levels to drop too much and they should still be detectable.
