Common form of CP: Spastic diplegia refers to the part of the body most affected by cerebral palsy. Diplegia means two limbs. In the cast of spastic diplegia it is the legs that are affected. But most children with spastic diplegia have some level of difficulty with their hands or arms as well but it is much milder than the involvement of the legs. Spastic refers to increased tightness or tone in the muscles.
