24 Hour Prep: Your GI specialist is supposed to provide you a sheet with instructions to clean your bowel. You need to avoid any solid foods for 24 hours before the procedure. During this time you need to take laxatives till your bowel movements are entirely liquid and free of any residual fecal matter. Drink plenty of liquids during this time, to avoid dehydration.
