A newborn's nose can: be flattened from position in the womb or because (s)he resembles a family member. If concerned or curious, have your pediatrician examine the baby for other features, especially if poor feeding, low muscle tone, weak cry, trouble breathing are present. Babies with mosaic DS, Trisomy 21 in some, but not all cells, may have few features. Don't worry about asking your pediatrician if concerned.
