It depends: Every stroke is different. Every person is different . It depends on what was damaged and how much swelling of the brain has taken place. Best wishes. You should have a talk with the doctors to get a better idea of where things stand.

Guarded prognosis: Depending upon the location, extent, and presence of bleeding, the prognosis may be difficult. Lack of arousal suggests brainstem location or large amount of brain swelling, and none of this is good. You can get more information via a family conference with her doctors.
