Higher than the norm: Once you had a stroke, you are certainly at a higher risk to have another. The good news is, with proper medication, proper blood pressure and Cholesterol management, and with follow-up and routine medical appointments, the chances go back down significantly. If you have co-morbid conditions like diabetes, obesity, etc. you definitely need regular visits and follow-up care!
