Could be normal: You should contact the office of the dentist who extracted the tooth and they will be able to answer better

Needs attention: Post operative "numbness" is rare, but you need to immediately advise your oral surgeon. The surgeon may or may want to examine you, and there are medications and therapies that can be prescribed to speed along the healing process.
