Sorry you feel bad: What is the cause of your immune system's less than optimum functioning? You said, NOT HIV but what type of immunodeficiency do you have? Have you had chemo or radiation therapy for a type of cancer? Your treatments are going to be designed around the most beneficial and safest available for your problem. I'm sure your doctor has your best interests in hand. What has he/she told you?
