See orofacial pain: specialist for complete exam. It could be a broad range of problems, like myofacial pain syndrome, mid-facial migraine or neuralgia, etc. The only way to find the cause of your pain is to see a professional.

TMJ: No, not anxiety. May be TMJ. See TMJ-orofacial pain expert. Any dentist can be a TMJ expert with the proper training and experience. Most commonly, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, and orofacial pain specialists. Ask your MD, your dentist and your dental society for referrals.
