See your dentist: Gums are suppose to adhere to the underlying bony structure, Your question can not be answered without a clinical observation. It could be a variety of issues and could lead to the loss of teeth.

Dental operculum: is a structure of gums located in the back of your last molar. Sometimes, this area becomes infected with pain and swelling. If the operculum shows signs of inflammation, go see your dentist. If concerned visit your dentist for examination, x-rays and treatment if needed.

Operculum: A flap of tissue over the wisdom teeth is called an operculum. Usually means not enough room for the tooth. See an oral surgeon.
