Same all the time..: Just because a woman is pregnant doesn't mean she starts taking care of her teeth. Proper oral hygiene (brushing and flossing) as well as regular dental checkups and cleanings keep the mouth healthy before, during, and after pregnancy. A change in hormone levels during pregnancy can exacerbate gingival inflammation and periodontal problems.
