Yes: Hi, yes, many family practitioners are very comfortable and capable of perfectly diagnosing and treating Hashimoto's. If not, he/she will refer you to someone who is. Good luck!

Hashimoto's: The answer is yes and yes, but only if the medical history and physical exam calls for it. Often times mild Hashimoto's does not need treatment.
