Enlarged Thyroid: An enlarged thyroid is called a goiter. I'd be interested to know if you have any nodules on your thyroid. You don't say what was abnormal about your thyroid studies and if you are talking about a lab, a biopsy, or a sonogram or scan. If you have low thyroid activity, hypothyroidism, then you need thyroid medication. I encourage you to give more details on the abnormalities.
