What do you want to: know about them? In the old days, such jobs were universally held by people who were themselves in recovery and did not necessarily have training or degrees. Now they are mostly certified positions, with licensing requirements that vary state to state, and include people with Master's and Doctoral degrees as well. Pay isn't always great, work is long and hard, but they can be very rewarding.
