My mom and i both have pkd, but my daughters blood test came back negative, is she out of the woods, or still susceptible?

Might be/depends,,,: This depends on the type of PKD you all have and the test(s) done. If autosomal dominant, it's likely it hasn't developed yet and/or the test might not have picked it up. If autosomal recessive, it's more likely really negative as it presents and manifests at birth if positive. It's best to see a kidney doctor who can provide counseling and do genetic tests for a definitive answer. Good luck.

PKD is dominant: PKD is dominantly inherited which means that there is a 50: 50 chance of the children being free from it or being affected If the test is negative that is good news ; however sometimes the cysts may only develop later in life as an adult . Not everyone has symptoms as an adult. There is a recessive form also which may occur in children. How old is your daughter . ? did she have a genetic test
