Blood test not helpf: Blood tests for PKD (polycystic kidney disease) are not currently helpful although the genetic causes for this are becoming known. Does this run in your family? A ct, mri, or, less invasively, an ultrasound will make/exclude this diagnosis. You indicated that a ct was done. If negative, i believe this diagnosis is excluded.
