Gland: This is a swollen lymph node and can be from a cold, or ear infection or tonsillitis, if it does not resolve and or if he has fever he needs to see his pediatrician

Reactive adenitis: Could be a non specific viral illness that triggered local lymph node and parotid gland swelling. Just requires observation for now. Would see pediatrician if becomes red, increased swelling, high fever. If he is immunized there's little concern for mumps.

Could be: mumps, or enlarged lymph node from severe infection, such as mastoiditis. You must show it to his pediatrician.
