A member asked:

Can crying make blepharitis worse ? i cried today and now my eyes are ao blurry i do have blepharitis .. hot compresses not working

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Less oil and mucous.: Crying a lot may have caused a reduction in the level of the natural mucous and oil secretions that would normally be there to lubricate your eyes and prevent dryness. Having blepharitis would make this more likely since the oils are dysfunctional and reduced to begin with in this condition.
