Is amitriptyline a good medicine to treat panic disorder i was prescribed that and protonix (pantoprazole) yesterday and i'm not sure its going to work?

Not common choices: For Panic Disorder, those medications are not usually prescribed. They are for major depression and gastric acid problems respectively in most cases. Drugs are used 'off label' more and more, so this may be a new choice. Do take the opportunity to clarify w/ the Dr who prescribed. Don't simply ignore it and don't start it until you understand why, what to expect, etc. Take care, be well!
