A member asked:

I have a pinched nerve that send pain down my arm to my fingers. is there anything i can do to "calm it down" until my doctor appt? i take nsaids. thx

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Neck pain: A herniated disc in the neck will cause radiating arm pain, weakness and numbness. Physical therapy and chiropractic care can help to reduce the pain. Cervical traction and transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation is also helpful. A Medrol (methylprednisolone) dose pack or neuropathic pain medicines like Gabapentin (Neurontin) can calm the nerve down.
