Bleeding: Although bleeding in early pregnancy isn't normal you have had an ultrasound that shows the fetus is alive. There are causes of bleeding in pregnancy which don't lead to a miscarriage. With a miscarriage, the fetus dies first then you have bleeding, cramping, and tissue passage.It isn't the length of bleeding or the amount of bleeding which causes a miscarriage.
