Artificial tears: A good start with dry eye symptoms is to use artificial tears to help lubricate your eyes. Avoid "clear eye" drops that have redness and itching relievers. You want to look for pure lubricating drops that you can use as needed for your symptoms. Thicker gels and ointments are available but can blur your vision during the day. You can use those at bedtime instead. Be well.

Artificial tears: Your only option for over the counter treatments are artificial tears. There are several varieties. Should speak to an ophthalmologist if you have dry eye syndrome to make sure you are taking the correct type and also to make sure you truly have dry eye syndrome.
