TMJoint problem: Most dentists have some knowledge regarding treatment of patients with tmjoint problems. Only a few have enough knowledge and experience to really treat the more severe cases. Ent specialists usually refer patients to general dentists, oral surgeons, orthodontists or prosthodontists for these types of problems.

Perhaps: Some ENT docs are knowledgeable about TMJ disorders. Many are not. You can probably find out if that MD can treat your problem with a phone call to the office. Most of the time, an oral surgeon would be better equipped by training and experience to handle the problem.
