I have a pea sized movable lump under jaw. it was large i had a virus for 3 weeks; then decreased to the pea sized shape. ent & pcp doc said insignificant node. worried it never went back to original

Lymph gland enlarged: Lymph glands may enlarge when there is an acute infection. Usually, this is temporary and the lymph node will reduce to original size. Sometimes, however, it does not shrink back completely and may also calcify over time. As long as you're feeling fine and the node is not getting bigger, and/or you have multiple enlarged lymph nodes, then nothing to worry about.

Agree it is insignif: The basic function of lymph nodes is to trap germs and attempt to kill them,,resulting in their enlargement,other causes,that need further evaluation,if the glands are suspicious and keep enlarging,since the lump is getting smaller,there is nothing to worry at this time.
