Interesting: While it might be a function of your complicated medical history/situation, it is wise to see an eye dr for a dilated (/fundoscopic) examination and thorough evaluation to be sure there is not a direct issue with your eye or visual system. Some folks do take time to adjust, and some times a dominant eye is much quicker, but get checked to be sure.

Light dazzle: Not uncommon to experience difficulty to ligh adaptation as a result of staing into a bright light ie your smartphone. We all have dominant eyes and it seems your left eye maybe your dominant eye.
