Asian female, 16, had a history of melanonychia, surgically removed as it was worrisome. found a new, similar one days ago, do i need an urgent visit?

Get it checked: Melanonychia can be caused by medications, fungus, trauma, systemic or inflammatory diseases. but the most concerning cause is what is called "subungual melanoma". Thus, any dark or hyper pigmentation underneath the nail/nailbed should be brought to the attention of your doctor as soon as possible.

Melanonychia: It would depend on the pathological report of the first lesion. If it were benign there is no urgency.
