When u can't reach your own md, and u need an answer regarding depression meds, what do u do? would alcohol help instead of the medication?

Call: If need is urgent or emergent call or go to a local emergency room. Otherwise wait for return call from md problems that can be alleviated by medication are likely worsened by alcohol.

Depression Meds: First! never consume alcohol when you are taking mds for depression or anxiety. Alsohol will not relieve the symptoms. When the alcohol wears off you will still have the same symptoms. Using alcohol in such situation can lead to addiction and/or other very unwelcome outcoms. In an emergent-like situation, a trip to a local emergency room can provide the script required to obtain your medication.
