A member asked:

What could cause an 86-year-old woman to hear music in her ears? does it have to be "all in her head?" symptoms have now passed.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not unusual: As we age funny things happen like this. As long as the noise is gone and you have no pain in the ear or headache and your blood pressure is within normal i would suggest that you are alright. Should the noise return and take longer to go away then a visit with an ear, nose ; throat physician would be a good idea.
