Complicated grief: May look like clinical depression, but doesn't have the same course or familial linkage. Someone with clinical depression may also suffer complicated grief. The most important things are family and community support for the grieving process, and often to work with a therapist or grief counselor to work through the loss. Grief is a natural process, not an illness; usually no suicidal ideas, either.
