Possible hernia: A hernia is a weakness in the abdominal wall, and this commonly happens in the belly button area. It can allow your intestines to be pushed out under the skin, and it sometimes gets stuck inside the hernia and causes pain. If it gets stuck for a long time, it can cause a portion of the bowel to die which is a life-threatening emergency. Please see your doctor for an exam.
