A member asked:

Can indirect opthalmoscope detect any tumour in the eye? if yes is this possible that the doctor will miss the tumour? pardon my bad english

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes you can detect t: With indirect ophthalmoscopy you can detect intraocular tumors. If a thorough indirect exam is performed it is likely tumors will be seen. Of course it is possible for a doctor to miss it especially if it is in the far periphery or is very small. If a tumor is suspected a retinal specialist should be consulted.
