A 41-year-old member asked:
what do you advise if i was born with jaundice and was treated. i now have yellow skin around my mouth. is this normal?

Dr. James Ferguson answered
45 years experience Pediatrics
Unrelated: The yellow you appear to have around your mouth has nothing to do with your jaundice at birth. If you are a smoker this could be a stain, but evaluation by your doc would be a good reason to see if this is an important issue.
