Lots of options: Some options become difficult to take advantage of once you commit to medication use (hard to do cognitive behavioral therapy for panic disorder if you have already been started on benzodiazepines). Do some reading about this (university of pennsylvania is a top resource) before you see the psychiatrist. And yes, i think you should consult with a top notch psychiatrist as well as your pmd.

Start w med eval.: Talk about feelings & address problems. Don't avoid them. Aim for 7.5 - 8 hours of sleep/ night. Daily physical activity is optimal in a green space. Eat healthfully. Cut out junk carbs, caffeine & alcohol (or moderate). Try Qi Gong, Tai Chi, acupuncture, acupressure, homeopathy, meditation, Yoga, exercise program, deep breathing exercises or Progressive muscle relaxation. Cognitive >
