Dry socket: Dry socket is very painful in the days following an extraction. If you do not have severe pain you do not have dry socket. But you should call the dentist that did your extractions if you have any concerns about healing.

Dry socket: Common post dental extraction complication. It could happened when the blood clot in the socket is lost prematurely, and the bone (socket) become exposed. If not painful is a self limiting condition and will be resolved in 7-10 days. Use a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (nsaid), keep the socket and your mouth clean. If concerned see your dentist for post-op examination. Take care.

No, but...: If it is a dry socket and nothing more than that, then no, it is not dangerous. It will merely take longer for your body to heal the wound and close the socket. It would be better to have the dentist who treated you take a look just to be sure. This is part of normal aftercare and almost always included in the original fee.
