Not much: Chest CT can use intravenous contrast material and xrays to perform test and get 2D and 3D images in multiple planes, sagittal, coronal , and transaxial. Usually without food for several hours prior to exam. Few people may be allergic to contrast.Liver scan if nuclear medicine test requires injection intravenously of nuclear material, acquisition of images, usually no prep and no allergy to med.
