A member asked:

What do you suggest if i have an enlarged heart. i've heard it never shrinks. is this true?

Depends: It depends on the cause but, in general, enlarged hearts do tend to remain enlarged. There are exceptions, however. The cause must be ascertained and addressed. For example, aortic insufficiency can be ameliorated with valve replacement. Some forms of dilated cardiomyopathy are reversible with time and medication.
