Water like beverage: is equivalent. Flavored water, gatorade, tea. Alternatively fruit juices are a substitute. If you really can't drink any of these, I doubt this goes on for someone's entire life, and this as a developing symptom would be a reason for evaluation. Medication effects, disorders with fluid accumulation, and psychiatric conditions are potential causes.
