Depends on your risk: If you tested negative then repeating the test is based on what potential exposures or risks you have for infection. HIV is transmitted via exchange of body fluids (blood, semen) from penetration intercourse (vaginal or anal) and sharing needles for injection drugs. Rarely, a traumatic exposure to HIV+ blood can occur, but you would know this. If you are concerned, repeat in 6, 12, and 24 wks
