A member asked:

Does a weak immune system delay accurate hiv test results? i have tested negative numerous times within a 6 month period from exposure and now 9 months since exposure been having frequent colds and mouth sores do i need to test again?

your perception of a week immune system notwithstanding, a negative 4th Combo test at 6 weeks after exposure rules out HIV and you do not need to test again, however, HIV is only one of the STDs. It would be prudent to see your doctor for an evaluation. Visit this site for information: https://www.cdc.gov/std/default.htm Wish you good health!
