Child's toothache: Tylenol, (acetaminophen) Motrin dosed for your child's weight can be helpful for moderate to severe pain/ toothache that comes from erupting teeth. Topical gel local anesthetics can be helpful. Depending on the child's age, and if there is facial swelling, you may need to have your child gently floss adjacent to the affected tooth, rinse out their mouth with warm water, and apply a cool compress. Also see dentist.

Find the cause: Once cause determined it should be easy to stop. U may need to take child to a pedodontist.
