MRI: The scanner is basically a circular tube. Depending on the type of scan, you may have to be placed in the scanner feet first(with head out of scanner), head first, or upright. If you are claustrophobic you may want an "open" rather than closed unit. You may or may not get an IV injection. The scan may be noisy, you may get headphones with music. May take 20-40 minutes.
