Does anyone know the safe daily dose of melatonin for children?

One half to two mgs: Melatonin is relatively safe at most doses. It does not appear that the effect of melatonin is dose related so most children should take either one half or one milligram.

None established: This is one of many over the counter meds where we have no established guidelines for use. We are unlikely to see a funded study in the near future so most suggest you use as little as you can get by with. The 1,3 & 5mg forms are commonly available & as high as I would go based on the size/age of the kid.
