Here is ...: Accumulated experience confirmed, designated, & adopted this number inside each cc of urine as being significant to denote a properly collected urine containing enough bacteria to cause UTI, especially in females. However, it would be more meaningful to correlate the culture result with clinical picture. But, at times, a less number is still deemed significant for clinical use. So, ask Doc timely.
