A member asked:

My protein count in a urinalysis was 30-70 is that dangerous?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

May be: Is that mg/dl or 24 hour value? For a random urine sample, the normal values are approximately 0 to 8 mg/dl. For a 24-hour urine collection, the normal value is less than 80 mg per 24 hours. If your protein in urine is 30-70/dl that is abnormal and you should consult your doctor for doing a 24 hour urine protein or at least protein/creatinine ratio.
