A member asked:

Can you tell me what number of days after taking your last pill on the pack does your period come?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

24 hours onward: The withdrawal of hormones is what starts the bleeding, and may commence as early as 24 hours (which is when the next pill would be due). The pill is designed such that the period falls within the last seven days of the pill pack. Typically, women on birth control pills have lighter periods to no period at all. At any rate, the new pack needs to be started on time.
