A member asked:

How much time can "insulin" be stored and still be viable?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Stored in frige: Hi. If insulin is stored in the fridge, unopened, it's good for a looooong time! And I mean well past the expiration date. Bear in mind, an "expiration date" doesn't mean the drug is bad after that, only that that's the time period the pharmaceutical company presented data to the FDA for, showing the drug was still good! To your tight diabetes control! Cheers!
