A member asked:

What does your body do with lipids (fats) when there is no insulin available to store them?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nothing Judy: Insulin is the hormone secreted by the pancreas and controls the entrance of glucose into cells where it is used as fuel for the normal functions of the cell. Insulin resistance (i.e. The cell fails to respond to insulin) does affect fat metabolism but it is complex.
