Docs, could a small hiatal hernia caused by being overweight go away once the weight is lost?

No: Short answer is no, but small hiatal hernias are usually asymptomatic, and not dangerous anyway. Large hiatal hernias can be dangerous, and sometimes require surgical repair. Weight loss could help a small one from becoming a large one. Hope this helps!
