Many monkeypox infections are mild & don't require medical treatment. There are no specific treatments for monkeypox. Per CDC- “Smallpox vaccine, cidofovir, ST-246, & vaccinia immune globulin (VIG) can be used to control a monkeypox outbreak.” Only the small pox vaccine has had fairly good studies for efficacy.
