Generally no: However, that said if you had a really high cervical spine disk herniation that caused immediate severe spinal stenosis and/or spinal cord injury around c2/3 or c3/4 could result in difficulty breathing and move from that level below. That's pretty rare, so not likely to be deadly at any level below that...
